U.P. Poet Laureate Beverly Matherne’s students at the May 2024 Poetry Workshops
U.P. Poet Laureate Beverly Matherne gave a Fibonacci workshop at Peter White Public Library for the Write On program, brain child of Marquette poet Gala Malherbe. Also participating was Marty Achatz, two-time U.P. Poet Laureate and president of the U.P. Poet Laureate Foundation. What joy to work with these talented students! The program will culminate with a published chapbook for each student.
Beverly Matherne was the guest speaker at the Ecumenical Prayer Breakfast at Bethany Lutheran Church in Republic, MI where Lutherans, Catholics and Baptists mingled at the event. Thanks are extended to Pastor Alex Ross for the warm welcome.
